MULTILOAD INSERTION (Intrauterine Device)

Multiload is a form of IUD (intrauterine device) that acts as a contraceptive device. This kind of IUD is placed in the uterus where it helps to release certain hormones that prevent pregnancy up to five years. It is a small plastic rod, called a stem, with two small flexible side-arms. The device is a mixture of high density polyethylene, ethylene vinyl acetate copolymer and barium sulphate.
